2 Wood Pellets
Wood pellets are clean woody biomass fuel produced by grinding wood or sawmill by-products into sawdust, then compressing them under high temperature and pressure into uniform-sized pellets, classified as renewable energy.
As a form of bioenergy, wood pellets are eco-friendly fuel with high calorific value and low ash content. Widely used for power generation and heating, they serve as a sustainable energy source replacing fossil fuels.
3 Carbon Neutrality of Forest Biomass Energy
Trees absorb carbon from the atmosphere as they grow, and carbon released during harvesting is accounted for in greenhouse gas statistics, so burning the fuel is not considered
carbon emissions (IPCC Guidelines)
The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recognize wood as carbon-neutral fuel and recommend it as an alternative to fossil fuels
